Blue Devils Sweep RCU in Dominant Fashion

REDFORD, Mich. - In the series opener on Friday, February 13, Lawrence Tech secured a 9-1 victory at Redford Ice Arena. After taking a 1-0 lead in the first period on a goal by Lukas Robinson, the Blue Devils broke the game open with a six-goal second period featuring markers from Nicholas Ceccarini, Ian KuntzNick Twombley, Joshua Hixson, Kaden Hemme, and Zane Irion. Rochester Christian University managed their only goal of the game on a second-period power play, but LTU added two more in the third from Adrian Gonzalez-Marin and Mike Golosinski to finalize the scoring.

The following day, Lawrence Tech completed the sweep with a 10-0 shutout victory at Mt. Clemens Ice Arena. LTU established an early lead with four goals in the first period and added three more in both the second and third frames. The offensive effort was led by multi-goal performances from Kevin Bond and Maximus Nguyen, while the power-play unit was efficient, converting on 3 of 6 opportunities. Defensively, the Blue Devils stifled RCU, allowing only 12 shots on goal throughout the entire contest. Goalies Brett Tome and Noah Miklos split time in net to earn the combined shutout, securing a dominant weekend for the program.

The Blue Devils finish the regular season with a 16-7-1 (12-7-1) record. They will head into the WHAC playoffs this weekend and will look to make a run for the WHAC Championship.
